3 Months

Wow.  Foss is three months old today.  It's gone by in a blink, but it also has seemed like forever.  Like this little person has been mine forever and I can't remember a time when I didn't know him.
Foss is such a calm, sweet boy.  He never really cries much and he loves to smile and laugh and coo.  He loves to smile at Porter and Olivia especially.  He loves his family and to be loved and held.  He is sleeping through the night, the angel baby.  I am so glad he is a part of our lives.
His head is tiny ( 5-10%)  and the rest of him is in the 20th percentile.  He's about the same size Port was when he was a baby.  Weeah was never very big in anything, except she was a chunky, CHUNKY lady baby.
Foss has a little tiny birthmark on his right wrist that showed up not too long ago.  He has a reddish tint to his hair and his eyes are still a mystery color.  I think he looks a lot like Papa Todd.  On to the pics...

My children looking like war orphans, as Grandma "Ninnie" would say

Olivia is such a good helper at bathtime

Foss' hair is ridiculous if it isn't combed.  This is his hair in it's natural, nerdy state.

Dinnertable Conversations

Olivia-  "When I was a little girl I didn't like owees to hurt."

Me-  "I still don't like owees to hurt."

Olivia- "Oh, well you have a polka dot on your arm." (a polka dot is a mole)

Me-  "Yes, I do have a polka dot on my arm."

Porter-  With an eye roll, "Olivia, those aren't called polka dots!  They are called malls, and I have had one on my leg for, like, a thousand years."

I love dinner time

Port's Recipe

Porter came running in the house from the backyard with a new delicacy for me to try.  After I "tasted" it he ran back outside.  A second later he ran back in and said, "I forgot to tell you my recipe!  First, you take a leaf and put it in the oven.  Next, you stir it with one of these ( a gigantic stick) and then you have a Yummy Scrumptious Gizmo!"  The kid's a chef.

Foss' Blessing

Sunday was a wonderful day.  Shawn did a wonderful job blessing Foss. Afterward we all came back to the house and ate breakfast.  What a fun day.

And just for fun here are some other pictures from throughout the week

Valentines Day and Dancing Fools

A couple of weeks ago we stayed at my parent's house because Shawn was out of town.  We had a blast.  We went to the Maddox, the amish store, and Smith and Edward's.  This video totally shows the kid's personalities.  Olivia is in la la princessland where everything is made of rainbows and butterflies and Port is just wild and crazy.
This is Porter's treat he took to school the day before Valentine's day.  It was basically sugar covered in sugar, sprinkled with sugar.  Boy, my kids do love to decorate with sprinkles... by the truckload.  Look at those things!  The kids thought they were awesome, and that is what counts

Port making his Valentines for his classmates.  Oh man, I love this boy.  He was occupied for hours with Valentine making.  It is so fun to see his brain work and immerse himself in projects.

Port made superhero suckers we found on Pinterest.  No, they were not as perfect and pretty as the example, but he did everything himself and was so proud.  He did such a great job and knew exactly how he wanted each one to look and who he wanted to give it too.  He is a thoughtful little guy and tried to give each person the one he thought they would like.  Fun times.

Two Months

Two months ago today this little guy came into our lives.  What a joy he is. I love watching the kids love him, especially Porter.  He just adores Foss.
Foss has slept through the night several times lately, which has been amazing!  He has a receding hairline, which in accompaniment with his natural alfalfa hair is a great look.  He is smiley and talky and such a happy baby.  He loves to cuddle, and would be happy if that's all I ever did.  If ever he's fussy I can just lay him on my chest so he can hear my heart and he falls fast asleep.  He loves to lay on his tummy and sit up propped up with a pillow.  Still not sure what color his eyes will be, they are still looking pretty blue.
Some nick-names:  Fossy Bear, Fosster, Foss the Boss, Muffin Man, Foss Man, Fossy Lou

Origin of the Hulk

Porter's theory of how the Hulk became the Hulk is that he drank coffee. Also, Hawkeye is pronounced Hawkguy.  If you ask me, Hawkguy is a better name anyway.
