Pictures From The Past Part 1

These are pictures taken with my phone that I don't want to lose if my phone dies someday. These are just a few.

Smiles

Look at what he can do!  He was all smiles yesterday.  This other pic was taken a couple weeks ago.  He's looking so big, so fast!  Stop growing, my babies!

Life Lately

We were so blessed to add to our little family on December 20th.  Foss Louis has been such a joy in our family.  It is so amazing how babies are born and it feels like they've been a part of you forever and you've known them always. Probably because that's the case.  It has been a whirlwind these past 5 and a half weeks, but boy, I feel blessed... so blessed to have three perfectly healthy, rambunctious, fun kids.
Things not pictured:
PILES upon PILES of laundry
(mountains may be a more correct description)
Sink filled with dishes
Full garbage can
(it is an art to find out how much you can put in after you think it's reached it's limits)
a carpet of toys

Jack

Porter has a friend. His name is Jack. They love to play together. Jack helps Porter fix his bike or play games. According to Porter, Jack looks like Heaven. I always wondered what Heaven looks like. Porter says he has white hair, black skin, and green eyes. I wish I could see him too, but only Porter can.
I love to watch him imagine. He is pretty darn good at it too. Yesterday he told me a story about a black widow named Carl's Jr and a walking and talking tree called Light Moon Hair.
He just cracks me up.

Some Pics

Olivia, or "Weeah", as we call her (that's how Port would say her name and it stuck) LOVES food. She is such a chunky little muffin. She went crazy over Porter's birthday cupcakes.

She is getting so big so fast! She is so fun. She's not crawling yet, but I know it's only a matter of time, though. I am enjoying her immobility while I can.

This is Shawn's first day of school pic. Second year of teaching.

Daddy's Marching Band, as Port calls them. He calls the color guard "Flower Garden."

Birthday Boy

We are so blessed to have such a great little family. Porter is such a busy little man, and Olivia just loves to watch him and take it all in. They are such a good compliment to each other. It's fun to watch them to start to play together a little. Porter can just make Olivia laugh like crazy. I can tell she already adores her big brother, and he is so good with her.

Hmmm... Boy Children

Do you see the flour footprints on the floor? You may be wondering what they lead to. Well, let me show you...

THIS! This is what they lead to!!! Porter was caught flour footed! All the dried beans, flour and split peas are now in a nice mound in the kitchen. When did this happen? Oh just 3 0' clock in the MORNING!!! It just so happens Porter has had a cold, and when he gets them he gets asthmatic, so he has to use an inhaler. His inhaler makes him CRAZY HYPER. It makes him do crazy things, you know, like dumping out our food in the middle of the night. I could hear something and it woke me up. I called Porter into our room and when I was helping him onto our bed I could feel his hands were wet. My first panicky thought was he had been in the toilet. Luckily he was just making flour and bean cakes in the bathroom. Good thing the naughty things he does are funny at the same time. Good thing he is cute. Good thing he says funny things like, "The beans are tickling my foot," because there are beans in his pajamas.

Porter and Shawn practicing. Porter likes to practice out of his spiderman coloring book.

We are so lucky to have this little guy. I guess he wanted to go out of the twos with a bang!!! I can't believe he's almost 3.

Now I just hope this one stays sweet and calm!

* Breaking News! That mound of food is about 1/3 of what was actually there; the rest was hiding under the shelves. I was also unaware when I wrote this post the mound was CRUSTED to the shelves. Yay for Taffie's water and flour.
